Hey there, bookworms!
Welcome to my little corner of the interweb, where I dive headfirst into my never ending TBR. Imagine a half thai/half american girl from Chiang Mai, Thailand (yep, that’s me!), who once practically lived off PB&J’s just to save up for her next big read. Fast forward to 2023, and I’m smashing through 70 books a year during toddler nap times and in the stealth of the night… Who needs sleep when there are mythical worlds to explore, and morally grey leading men to swoon over? Lol.
Why Are We Here?
I started “Jennie’s Reads” because, honestly, I just told myself I would write a review for every book I read this year and to also find my online community—think: moms on the brink of a book binge, fantasy fiends, smut lovers (the spicier, the better), and anyone who believes dragons are more than just myth. Plus, I’ve got this little daydream about running a cozy bookstore slash wine bar, serving up tapas with a side of page-turners.
What’s On The Menu?
I’ve got a soft spot for Indie Authors. Those authors who write stuff that’ll knock your socks off but don’t always get the spotlight they deserve. I’m all about giving them some love, sharing my thoughts on their work, and maybe even teaming up for some cool bookish merch. Imagine stickers, bookmarks, apparel and who knows what else—sky’s the limit!
The Vibe
Expect a mishmash of everything bookish—reading guides to help you navigate new genres, interviews with authors (fingers crossed!), reviews that’ll make you want to hit the bookstore ASAP, and a bunch of other fun stuff I’m cooking up. What are my kinda all time faves though? The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, The Kindred’s Curse Series by Penn Cole, anything by Rebecca Yarros, and Cassandra Clare’s shadowy world? Chef’s kiss. 💋
